How To Pop Your Playgroup Cherry

I love a baby group. There, I said it. Do I enjoy endless renditions of twinkle twinkle little star? Of course not but the camaraderie and companionship of other mums who are in the trenches too is a lifesaver in that first year, not to mention that the baby goes wild for some singing and a broken toy. But it's not always easy to pop your baby group cherry, here are my top tips for a nervous first-timer. I think I should just add, I wrote this some time ago but never found the right time to post, so, without further ado:

Places To Go: Foxburrows Farm Zoo, Hainault Country Park

I'm always on the hunt for cheap or free places to take my fifteen month old, she's at an age where she would have equal levels of enthusiasm for the local park as a theme park so new places to entertain her that don't cost much-so I'm not full of resentment about my lightened wallet as soon as I'm through the gate- are the name of the game! I put an appeal out on Instagram and you lovely lot gave me lots of ideas. First up, on a bright spring morning we tried Foxburrows Farm Zoo at Hainault Country Park. It took about fifteen minutes from home and we arrived at just after 10am.

What Do You Do All Day, Woman? A Totally Average Day In Our Lives

A day in our lives. This was a Thursday but it doesn't matter much, they all follow a similar pattern. Reading this back I feel that I should caveat with the fact I'm really happy with my stay-at-home/work-at-home situation, I love that I get to hang out with her most days and she makes me laugh all day long but there's no joy in wiping food from the floor, no matter how cute the thing that put it there is...here goes:
